SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Material Planner to support the development and management of the flow of materials and inventory ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support production. This includes forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and resolving any material-related issues.
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Estimates and proactively manages project-related requirements.
- Develops appropriate actions to ensure customer logistics needs are satisfied.
- Coordinates and executes logistical plans and schedules.
- Monitors material delivery dates to ensure production needs are met.
- Reviews plans and other information to determine ordering, inventory, and replenishment quantities.
- Utilizes data to reduce total costs to support lean manufacturing activities.
- Manages inventory flow and resolves material problems and inventory control issues as they arise.
- Acts as a liaison between design and production.
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings, bills of material, and technical manuals.
- Performs warehouse control and supervises physical inventory audits, and budget estimates.
- Tracks project activities, schedules, issues, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Compiles reports and interprets financial data for project planning and performance.
- Prepares responses to project and program data calls.
- Participates, records, and disseminates project and customer meeting minutes.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

- Two (2) + years of Contract Management experience, to include:
- Development of Program Acquisition Documentation
- Data Collection and Analysis, Development of Cost Estimates
- Development of Program Status Reports
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures preferred
